Russia launched a series of heavy aerial and artillery attacks across Ukraine, resulting in significant civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. In Sumy, a Russian guided aerial bomb struck a multi-story residential building, killing at least two people and injuring several others, including a 13-year-old girl. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strike as ‘utterly inhumane’.

In a massive coordinated strike, Russia deployed two Zircon missiles and 174 drones targeting the Kyiv and Odesa regions. While Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 141 targets, debris caused damage in multiple locations. Other reported incidents include a drone strike on an ambulance in Zaporizhzhia, an explosion near Vorozba in the Sumy region that killed a teenager, and an attack on the Fastiv district in Kyiv that injured five people.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a fire broke out at an industrial facility following drone activity. Meanwhile, on the front lines, Ukrainian forces reported the successful destruction of a Russian Buk-M1 air defense system using coordinated drone strikes in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The Ukrainian General Staff also noted that Russian military losses have reached approximately 1.5 million personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion.
