Russia strikes Ukrainian logistics, drone production, and steel plants

The Russian Armed Forces conducted a series of coordinated strikes against military, industrial, and logistics infrastructure across Ukraine between August 27 and August 29. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks utilized drones, high-precision air-launched weapons, and ballistic missiles to target seaports, fuel storage, and logistics hubs.

In the Kyiv region, strikes reportedly hit the Fim Service logistics center in Chaiki, which was allegedly used to store components for Flamingo cruise missiles, as well as UAV assembly workshops and transportation centers in Boryspil and Brovary. Other targets included facilities producing ground robotic systems and components for unmanned aerial vehicles.

In southern and central regions, Russian forces targeted maritime infrastructure, including fuel tanker parking and unloading sites at the port of Izmail, and multiple storage facilities and a transshipment terminal at the port of Nikolayev. Additionally, ballistic missiles struck major metallurgical plants, specifically ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhstal, in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
