Russia targets Ukrainian ports and military infrastructure
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported extensive military operations targeting Ukrainian infrastructure and intercepting large numbers of drones. According to official statements, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian drones over Russian territories, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov.
Russian forces also conducted strikes on Ukrainian maritime and industrial targets. This included hitting two cargo ships in the ports of Odesa and Mykolaiv, which the Ministry claimed were being used to supply the Ukrainian military. Additionally, strikes were reported against military facilities in Kyiv, including production sites for Flamingo missile components, as well as the Krymenchuk oil refinery in the Poltava region and a metal complex in Kryvyi Rih.
In response to drone activity, Russia utilized Geran-series drones to strike a logistics center in Odesa, a drone warehouse in Dnipropetrovsk, and a temporary troop position in Donetsk. The Ministry emphasized its ongoing efforts to target port infrastructure and naval vessels used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
