Russia has successfully conducted a test launch of a mobile, solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. The Russian Defense Ministry stated the launch was part of a combat training exercise designed to verify the system’s tactical, technical, and flight characteristics.

During the exercise, the Strategic Missile Forces redeployed a mobile launch battery to a remote location before firing the missile toward the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The missile traveled a distance of over 6,700 kilometers and successfully reached its designated target area.

While the ministry confirmed the mission's objectives were fully met, officials did not disclose the specific model of the missile used. This test follows a similar exercise conducted in May involving the RS-24 Yars system and occurs amid heightened geopolitical tensions involving Russia and Ukraine.
