Norway faces daily cyberattacks, says Defense Chief
Norwegian Defense Chief Eirik Kristoffersen has stated that Norway and other NATO nations are facing daily cyberattacks. He identified Russia as being behind some of these malicious attempts to disrupt digital infrastructure.
Despite these digital threats, Kristoffersen noted that Russia is not currently militarily capable of posing a direct invasion threat to Norway or other NATO members. However, he emphasized that supporting Ukraine is vital for European security and to prevent the takeover of a free nation. He also expressed support for the Norwegian parliament's defense agreement and the ongoing investment in national defense capabilities.
