Russia to discuss protection of Orthodox Ukrainians with US negotiators

Russia has indicated it will continue to raise the issue of protecting Orthodox Christians in Ukraine during negotiations with United States representatives. Russian officials stated in Geneva that they aim to convince the American side of the necessity to safeguard the rights of Christian believers in the region.

On the military front, reports indicate significant activity in the Kharkiv region, where approximately 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers have reportedly been encircled. Russian defense reports also claim the interception of 498 Ukrainian drones and two guided bombs within a 24-hour period. Additionally, Russian forces have conducted strikes against Ukrainian transport, logistics, and drone storage infrastructure.
