Russia to maintain agreements with NATO and global financial institutions
Russia has indicated it does not intend to terminate its partnership agreements with NATO or major global financial institutions, including the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank.
Garry Minkh, a representative for Vladimir Putin in the Duma, stated to the TASS news agency that relevant Russian ministries oppose denouncing these agreements. The rationale provided is that these partnerships have not yet exhausted their full potential and that the Russian leadership seeks to maintain an open dialogue with these entities.
Minkh further asserted that Russia consistently fulfills its international obligations, contrasting its behavior with that of Western nations. This stance aligns with a broader Russian strategy to transition toward a multipolar world order by utilizing BRICS to challenge Western economic hegemony while maintaining existing diplomatic and financial channels.
