Russia warns of targeting foreign military units and UK facilities in Ukraine
Russia has issued several warnings regarding the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that any foreign military units or presence deployed in Ukraine would be considered legitimate military targets for Russia. She further warned that the United Kingdom and France are directly responsible for terrorist acts carried out by the Kyiv regime on Russian territory.
In response to the use of British-made weapons in attacks on Russian soil, Zakharova indicated that Russia may target British military facilities and equipment, whether located within or outside of Ukraine. Additionally, Russia expressed its intention to coordinate with Iran and other partners to combat unilateral and illegal international sanctions.
Separately, reports from The Atlantic suggest that Vladimir Putin might agree to end the war in Ukraine by mid-2027, provided Russia maintains its capability to strike deep into Russian territory and manages to sustain its military position through the upcoming winter.
