Russia warns of unpredictable consequences over UK and French military support

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Russia has not received any proposals from Ukraine or other parties to resume negotiations. This follows comments from Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who noted that Moscow's conditions for halting hostilities were presented two years ago and that the conflict could end immediately if Kyiv makes an appropriate decision.

Zakharova issued a warning regarding the involvement of European NATO members, specifically targeting the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. She accused these nations of playing a “destructive role” by providing technological data and missile assembly functions to Ukraine. Specifically, she cited the transfer of data necessary for the production of “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles and mentioned reports regarding the “Flamingo” missile system.

Russia warned that its response to Ukrainian attacks using British weaponry could target British military objects and equipment both within Ukraine and outside its borders. Zakharova asserted that London and Paris bear “direct responsibility” for participating in attacks on Russian territory and cautioned that the consequences of such policies could be “completely unpredictable.”
