Russia warns UK of security risks over Ukraine support
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has issued a warning to the United Kingdom, stating that London’s increasing support for the Ukrainian regime risks transitioning the UK from a de facto party to a de jure party in the conflict.
Ryabkov claimed that by providing multifaceted assistance to Kyiv, the UK is violating various bilateral and multilateral legally and politically binding documents. He warned that these escalatory actions are putting the United Kingdom’s own security at risk.
According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moscow has already communicated its detailed position to the British charge d'affaires in Russia via an official note. Ryabkov expressed difficulty in communicating basic facts to UK officials, citing a layer of “illusions, delusions and prejudices” within the British government.
