Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov meets BJP President Nitin Nabin
Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov met with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin at the party headquarters in New Delhi. The meeting focused on the long-standing bilateral relationship between India and Russia, emphasizing the personal trust and understanding between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin.
Discussions included the recent meeting between Modi and Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit and looked forward to future high-level engagements, such as the upcoming BRICS Summit in India. Both parties highlighted the importance of people-to-people ties, with Ambassador Alipov noting the potential for skilled Indian professionals to contribute to Russia.
During the visit, Nabin provided an overview of the BJP’s organizational structure and grassroots network. Ambassador Alipov also congratulated the party on its recent electoral successes in Assam and West Bengal and praised Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program for its direct engagement with the public.
Following the meeting, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi criticized a video of the interaction posted on social media, mocking the use of the song ‘Rasputin’ in the background of the footage.
