The incident highlights ongoing scams targeting high‑priced graphics cards, where the original component is removed and the packaging resealed, sometimes using protective film that can be reapplied. Similar reports have involved other RTX models, such as an RTX 5080 that was allegedly swapped for a bag of grain. The buyer’s video evidence strengthens his case for a refund, following a prior Wildberries dispute that required two months and legal intervention before the retailer issued a full refund.
