Russian Circles announce ninth studio album ‘Nine’

Chicago-based instrumental post-metal trio Russian Circles has announced the release of their ninth studio album, titled ‘Nine’. The album is scheduled for a global release on August 28, 2026, via Sargent House.

Recorded with longtime collaborator and engineer Kurt Ballou, the project involved basic tracking at Electrical Audio in Chicago and production at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts. The album is described as a return to the heavy, visceral dynamics of the band’s earlier work, blending progressive rock and classical elements with crushing metallic riffs.

To support the release, the band will embark on a 28-date North American headline tour this autumn. The tour includes an Eastern and Southern leg supported by Pelican, followed by a Western leg supported by Primitive Man.
