Russian Circles release new single and video “Seventh Seal”

The Chicago-based instrumental trio Russian Circles has released “Seventh Seal,” a new single and music video serving as the final preview for their upcoming ninth studio album, titled Nine. The album is scheduled for release on August 28 via Sargent House.

“Seventh Seal” is described as a track that blends melancholic nylon-string guitar passages with heavy metallic elements, drawing inspiration from the contrast found in certain eras of Metallica. The album was recorded with collaborator Kurt Ballou at Electrical Audio in Chicago and GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts.

To support the release, the band will embark on an extensive North American headlining tour this fall. The first leg of the tour will feature support from Pelican, while the second leg in November will include Primitive Man.
