Russian Circles releases ninth studio album ‘Nine (26)’
Chicago-based post-metal trio Russian Circles has released their ninth studio album, titled ‘Nine (26)’, via Sargent House. The new work is noted for introducing more fluidity and stylistic variety to the band’s established heavy, instrumental sound.
The album incorporates diverse elements, including black-metal influences on the track ‘Empath’, atmospheric textures in ‘Eluvial’, and electronic components such as synthesizers and industrial beats in ‘E2’. The record concludes with ‘Seventh Seal’, described as one of the band’s heaviest compositions to date. Critics suggest this release represents a significant evolution in their musical DNA, potentially standing as their strongest work since ‘Memorial (13)’ much of the band's history is marked by a progression in craftsmanship since their 2006 debut, ‘Enter’.
