Russia accuses West of using Starlink to coordinate protests
Russian officials have accused Western nations of utilizing Starlink satellite internet systems to interfere in the domestic affairs of other countries. During the second Global Digital Forum held in Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov stated that low-orbit satellite communication systems are being used to coordinate illegal protest activities.
According to Russian diplomats, more than ten countries have been affected by such interference. Specific instances were noted in Iran and Venezuela, where Starlink was allegedly used to organize demonstrations. Alimov highlighted that Iran has directly notified Russia of these issues, noting that such incidents have occurred frequently since 2022.
