Ukraine: Zelenskyy condemns Russian drone strikes on civilian targets FAST-MOVING

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned a wave of Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine, labeling the targeting of civilian sites as terrorism. Since Saturday, Russia has reportedly deployed 277 attack drones, including 155 jet-powered models, aimed at residential areas, schools, and infrastructure.

In Kyiv and its outskirts, a drone strike on a market in Sofiiska Borshchahivka killed two people and injured approximately ten. Other strikes in the capital damaged residential buildings, communications facilities, and the residence of the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. In the Sumy region, glide bombs struck near a family support center, killing two people, while a strike in Kharkiv injured 15 people.

Zelenskyy accused Moscow of using deceptive diplomatic signals to buy time while escalating violence. He urged the international community, specifically G7 and G20 partners, to implement new sanctions packages targeting Russian financial networks and weapon supply chains by October to force a shift toward real diplomacy.
