Russian Embassy in Serbia staff linked to intelligence services
An investigation based on the Rupep.org database suggests that approximately one-third of the staff at the Russian Embassy in Serbia may have links to Russian intelligence services. Out of 78 diplomatic employees and staff members, at least 29 are identified as having connections to, or potential ties with, intelligence agencies.
Specifically, at least 19 employees are reportedly linked to the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU). The analysis highlights several individuals, including three embassy counselors with alleged GRU ties and multiple first secretaries whose registered Moscow addresses coincide with buildings housing intelligence personnel. Additionally, one attaché is noted for having previously worked at an institute associated with the Federal Security Service (FSB).
