Russian forces breach Zaporizhzhia lines and capture Nikolaypolye

Russian forces have made significant territorial gains in southern Ukraine, breaching defensive lines in the Zaporizhzhia region and the Donetsk People's Republic. In Zaporizhzhia, Russian attack groups have reportedly captured the village of Zelene and established bridgeheads near the Dnipropetrovsk border. This expansion includes the settlements of Blahodatne, Rybalske, Zelene, and Nove Pole, potentially allowing for a northern push toward the H-15 highway and the logistics hub of Novomykolaivskyi.

In the Donetsk region, the Russian “South” group reported the capture of Nikolaypolye, while the “Center” group claimed control over Matyashevo. Alongside these territorial advances, Russian forces have targeted Ukrainian fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure. Reports also indicate heavy combat in Orikhiv, where Russian troops have entered the city for street fighting.
