Russia claims capture of eight Ukrainian settlements
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces captured eight Ukrainian settlements across the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions during the past week. The captured locations include Kurtivka and Novogrishine in Donetsk, Zorevka in Zaporizhzhia, and Berezinki, Ozerne, Dolguenke, Zarubinka, and Goptivka in Kharkiv.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian military officials stated they blocked two Ukrainian battalions near Oljivatka and claimed to have prevented attempts to break the encirclement. The military also reported advances on five of the six active Ukrainian front lines.
Additionally, Russia conducted one massive and six combined missile and drone attacks targeting Ukrainian military-industrial complexes, logistics centers, energy infrastructure, and transport hubs. These strikes also reportedly impacted port facilities in the Odesa region on the Black Sea.
