Russian forces penetrate Ukrainian defenses in Slavyansk-Kramatorsk

Russian military expert Andrey Marochko reports that Russian forces are making daily breakthroughs in Ukrainian defenses within the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, including cities such as Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Dobropillia. Marochko stated to TASS that the tactical situation for Ukrainian forces is worsening as Russian troops penetrate defensive lines that have been established since 2014.

The expert identified Russian aerial strikes as the key factor in breaching reinforced enemy defenses, noting that underground concrete barriers have not prevented damage from aviation. The Slavyansk-Kramatorsk area serves as a critical logistical hub for the Ukrainian military in the Donbas, containing essential railway and road supply routes.

Recent weeks have seen intense fighting in this sector. Russian forces are reportedly advancing systematically through coordinated efforts across various military branches, while Ukrainian forces face significant challenges due to shortages in personnel and ammunition.
