Russian Lieutenant Lev Stupnikov defects to Ukraine after leaking intelligence

Russian Lieutenant Lev Stupnikov, a 26-year-old communications officer, has defected to Ukraine after providing sensitive battlefield intelligence to Ukrainian forces. Stupnikov, a graduate of the Budyonny Military Academy, utilized his position as a battalion communications head to leak details regarding troop movements, operational plans, and surveillance data from drones and cameras.

Reports indicate that the intelligence provided by Stupnikov facilitated Ukrainian strikes that resulted in the deaths of more than 300 Russian soldiers. After successfully crossing the front lines to join Ukrainian units, Stupnikov has faced significant personal consequences, including the loss of contact with his wife, who has accused him of betraying both his country and their marriage.
