Russia and Belarus carried out joint nuclear training drills, deploying the ‘Nut’ missile system in Belarus. Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Alexei Shevtsov, said the exercises aim to deter “Baltic tigers” and other European Union representatives, emphasizing the need for proactive security measures on the Union State’s borders. The drills were discussed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, highlighting the partnership as a model for Eurasian integration.
