Russian Mi-8 helicopter violates Polish airspace near Braniewo FAST-MOVING
A Russian Mi-8 military helicopter briefly entered Polish airspace on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at approximately 11:08 AM. The aircraft, flying from the Kaliningrad Oblast, penetrated Polish territory north of Braniewo to a maximum depth of about 300 meters.
The incursion lasted for 42 seconds and was detected by Polish military radar systems. In response, Polish fighter jets were scrambled, and ground-based defense forces were placed on high alert.
