Russian missile strike damages Odesa's Chornomorets stadium

A Russian missile hit the Chornomorets football stadium in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa on the eve of a domestic league match between FC Chornomorets Odesa and Kolos Kovalivka. The strike shattered windows, damaged the roof and sections of the stands, and forced the cancellation of the game. Regional authorities reported at least one civilian injured in Odesa and additional injuries in the neighboring Kherson region during the same wave of attacks.

The damage to the venue, which seats around 35,000 spectators, highlights the widening targeting of civilian infrastructure in Russia's Black Sea campaign against southern Ukraine.
