Russian Navy ships arrive at Kochi port in India

Three ships from the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet arrived at the port of Kochi in Kerala, India, on October 21. The group includes the frigate ‘Marshal Shaposhnikov’, the large anti-submarine ship ‘Admiral Tributs’, and the tanker ‘Pechenga’.

The arrival follows Exercise INDRA 2026, a bilateral naval exercise between India and Russia designed to improve operational coordination and interoperability. The exercise included a harbour phase in Vladivostok starting October 15, involving personnel from the Indian Navy ship INS Sahyadri and various Russian naval units.
