Russian rapper Misha Mavashi dies at age 41

Russian rapper Mikhail Nic, known professionally as Misha Mavashi, has died at the age of 41 following a tragic incident. An associate announced the death, stating that details are currently being investigated and that the community is in shock.

Conflicting reports regarding the cause of death have emerged. While an associate described it as an accident, Russian media outlets have provided varying accounts. One report suggests the death was a suicide, while another indicates it was an accidental discharge of a firearm during cleaning, which resulted in a fatal head injury.

Mavashi was a prominent figure in both the music scene and nationalist circles. In 2022, he founded the ultra-right nationalist movement ‘North Man’, which provided humanitarian aid to Russian forces. He was a vocal supporter of Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine. In September 2025, a Ukrainian court sentenced him in absentia to eight years in prison for financing activities aimed at changing the country's borders.
