Pavlohrad shopping center hit by Russian drone strike
A Russian drone strike targeted a shopping center in Pavlohrad, located in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. The attack occurred in broad daylight while streets were crowded with people, resulting in at least five deaths and 67 injuries.
Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported that eight of the injured individuals were children. The strike caused significant damage to local shops and vehicles, with emergency services working to extinguish fires on the streets.
Ukrainian officials have condemned the strike. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha described the incident as a ‘coercion tactic’ aimed at exhausting the Ukrainian population, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families of those killed, noting that the drones were used against innocent people standing near a shopping center.
