Pavlohrad shopping center hit by Russian drone strike
A Russian drone strike targeted a busy shopping center in Pavlohrad, located in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. The attack, which occurred in broad daylight, resulted in at least five deaths and 67 injuries.
Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported that eight of the injured are children. Ukrainian officials noted that the strike took place while streets were crowded with people, causing significant damage to local shops and vehicles.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha characterized the strike as a ‘coercion tactic’ aimed at exhausting the civilian population. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the victims, stating that Russia used drones to kill people who were simply standing near a shopping center.
