Russia launches widespread missile strikes on Kyiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia

Russia launched extensive missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, targeting Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro. At least 18 people were injured in the strikes, including several children.

In Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported 12 injuries, including two children aged 10 and 12. The attacks caused damage to residential buildings, warehouses, and a fuel station. Reports indicated that water supplies were cut off in some areas on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River. Some reports suggested the use of up to six modified Zircon anti-ship missiles against the capital.

In Odesa, a strike on a 19-story residential building injured three people, including a young child, and caused significant damage to upper floors. In Zaporizhzhia, a missile hit an industrial facility, causing a fire and injuring three people.

In response, Ukraine conducted drone strikes against targets inside Russia, including the cities of Rostov and Yaroslavl. Russian authorities reported that their air defense systems intercepted 641 Ukrainian drones over various regions and maritime areas. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have destroyed 131 Russian aerial targets during the overnight offensive.
