Kryvyi Rih shopping centre hit by Russian drone strike, killing 16

A Russian drone attack on a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, has killed at least 16 people and injured approximately 130 others. The strike, which occurred in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown, involved two waves of drones; the second wave reportedly targeted emergency responders as they worked to combat fires at the site.

Rescue operations continue as authorities search for several missing individuals. The fire caused by the attack spread across an area of roughly 9,000 square meters. In response to the escalation, Ukrainian drones targeted a Rosneft refinery in Russia’s Samara region.

Additional Russian strikes across Ukraine have resulted in further casualties, including one death in Kyiv following a warehouse fire and multiple deaths in the Kherson and Donetsk regions. Meanwhile, Russia reported intercepting 457 Ukrainian drones during the same period.
