Russian Woman Ljudmila Konstantinovna Murdered in Belgrade, Body Found in Suitcase

Ljudmila Konstantinovna, a 28‑year‑old Russian citizen, arrived in Belgrade on 23 July 2026 from Istanbul and rented a luxury apartment on Savski Venac. On the evening of 25 July she sent her mother a final message at 23:20 saying she was out with friends, after which her phone was switched off and she vanished from social media.

Six days later her body was discovered packed in a travel suitcase that had been dumped in a canal near Padinska Skela. Police investigations are ongoing. Friends recalled her as an open, cheerful and brave young woman, describing the shock of the brutal killing.
