RUST GUARD dishwasher device launches in United States

RUST GUARD, a German-engineered device designed to protect kitchenware from rust and corrosion, has launched in the United States. The compact tool is intended for use inside dishwashers to protect stainless-steel cutlery, pots, and pans from mineral-heavy or hard water.

Developed by inventor Oliver Rokitta, the device works passively during wash cycles without requiring electricity or additional chemicals. It is designed to last for approximately 120 washes. The product has undergone independent testing by Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM), which found less visible corrosion on stainless-steel cutlery when using the device compared to samples washed without it.
