Rusty Arnold enters two fillies in Grade 1 Ballerina at Saratoga

Trainer Rusty Arnold is set for a significant weekend of racing, featuring six entries across four stakes races. Most notably, Arnold will enter two fillies, Kilwin and Echo Sound, in the Grade 1 Ballerina at Saratoga Race Course. The $500,000 sprint serves as a ‘Win and You’re In’ qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.

Both fillies are returning from extended layoffs. Kilwin, an 8-1 morning line contender, recently won the Twin Bridges Stakes at Ellis Park on dirt. Echo Sound, at 15-1, secured a dominant victory in the Regret Stakes at Monmouth Park. Arnold noted that while he originally intended to separate the two runners, he decided to enter both to ensure neither missed the opportunity.

In addition to the Saratoga event, Arnold has multiple entries at Kentucky Downs, including a 5-year-old mare competing in the Grade 1, $1.75 million Ladies Turf Sprint, a maiden winner in the Juvenile Sprint Stakes, and two entries in the Tapit Stakes.
