Rusty Eck Ford fires employee after racial slur found on customer's sticker
Larry Martin Jr., a resident of Wichita, Kansas, reported that a racial slur was printed on an oil change service sticker inside his truck. The incident occurred during a routine service visit to the Rusty Eck Ford dealership.
Martin discovered the derogatory message weeks after the service. He described the experience as deeply humiliating, noting that the sticker was positioned where he would see it regularly. His daughter, Kelsey Martin, stated that a corporate apology is insufficient to address the disrespect experienced.
Following an internal investigation, Rusty Eck Ford confirmed that the employee responsible for the incident has been terminated. The dealership issued a statement asserting that it does not tolerate racial, hateful, or discriminatory conduct in its workplace.
