Ruta del Diseño Misionero celebrates 10th anniversary
The Ruta del Diseño Misionero, an initiative led by the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones, has launched a special edition to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The program aims to transition from promoting individual designer talent to a broader strategy focused on professionalization, commercialization, and market construction for regional creative entrepreneurs.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the program will hold a professional training session on September 17 in collaboration with INCADE to provide designers with management skills. The competition will culminate in a Grand Final on November 21 at the Jesuit Guaraní Ruins in San Ignacio. This event is designed to integrate fashion, culture, and local tourism by using historical heritage as a platform for brand identity.
A significant addition to this edition is the participation of designer Benito Fernández, who will serve as a judge for the Grand Final. The 16 participating models will wear garments designed by Fernández, a move intended to increase national visibility for the Misiones design sector.
