Ruta del Renacimiento road project reaches 85% completion

The Ruta del Renacimiento road project, connecting Nariño, Antioquia, with La Dorada, Caldas, has reached 85% completion. The infrastructure work aims to improve land connectivity between eastern Antioquia and the Magdalena Caldense region.

The contract covers 40.81 kilometers of roadway, with 26.81 kilometers located in Caldas and 14 kilometers in Antioquia. Significant progress has been made in paving sections between Isaza and Norcasia, as well as the stretch from Cristales to Puente Linda. Additional studies are underway to extend paving between Berlin and Florencia.

Funded by the Instituto Nacional de Vías (Invías), the project exceeds 114,394 million pesos. Beyond improving mobility for local residents and producers, the route is expected to serve as an access point for natural and tourist attractions in the Norcasia and La Dorada areas.
