Rutgers University Athletics announces 2026 season schedules

Rutgers University Athletics has released several schedules and promotional updates for its 2026 athletic seasons.

For football, the Scarlet Knights will host Indiana on October 3 at SHI Stadium for a Homecoming and Family Weekend event featuring a “Blackout” theme. Fans are encouraged to wear black to coincide with the team's black uniforms and a pregame light and fireworks display. The football program also announced the launch of R Guest Services to enhance the fan experience.

The cross country team's 2026 schedule includes races in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Madison, Wisconsin, before competing in the Big Ten Championships in late October. Key athletes Micah Lawson and Kelseigh O'Neilon are expected to lead the men's and women's teams, respectively.

Rutgers women's soccer has also announced its 2026 promotional schedule at Yurcak Field. The season begins August 27 against Boston College. The schedule includes various themed matches, such as a “Blackout” game against UCLA on September 24, a “Pink Out” for breast cancer awareness on October 8, and a “Bark in the Park” event on October 11.
