Rutgers University study links transgender ideology to political violence
A new study conducted by researchers from Rutgers University, the Manhattan Institute, and the Network Contagion Research Institute has identified a correlation between transgender ideology and support for political violence.
The research, titled “Where the Clinic Meets the Movement: Does Gender Ideology Arm Left-Wing Authoritarian Psychology?”, suggests that individuals who normalize transgender beliefs may be more likely to support left-wing authoritarianism (LWA) and justify various forms of political violence.
Respondents were asked about their views on six specific targets of violence: the killing of Charlie Kirk, Donald Trump, and Brian Thompson; the arson of ICE buildings; damaging the property of wealthy individuals; and violence against police. The study found that gender ideological beliefs were positively associated with the justification of these actions. However, the researchers cautioned that experimental research is necessary to establish a causal relationship.
