Rutgers University teams secure victories in soccer and field hockey

Rutgers University athletic teams secured notable victories in both women's soccer and field hockey. In women's soccer, the Scarlet Knights defeated Princeton 4-2, marking their first win of the season. Freshman Lilia Calvert led the offense with two goals, including the decisive score in the final minutes of the match.

In field hockey, the No. 20 ranked Rutgers team defeated No. 12 Syracuse 2-1 in a penalty shootout to conclude the Big Ten / ACC Challenge. After trailing early, Olivia Fraticelli scored in the fourth quarter to tie the game, and goalkeeper Emily Nicholls contributed six saves to help secure the upset victory.
