Ruth Beitia visits Ciudad Real for European Week of Sport

Olympic high jump champion Ruth Beitia visited Ciudad Real as part of the European Week of Sport 2026. During her visit, Beitia, the first Spanish woman to win an Olympic gold medal, delivered a talk organized by the Go Fit sports center, where she serves as an ambassador.

Beitia also visited the National Sports Technification Plan session at the Rey Juan Carlos Sports Center, interacting with young athletes from the region. The visit was attended by Mayor Francisco Cañizares and Sports Councilor Pau Beltrán. The event coincided with the tenth anniversary of her gold medal win at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
