Ruth Kadiri warns of dangerous fake products in Nigeria

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has issued a public warning regarding the widespread circulation of counterfeit and contaminated products in Nigeria. In social media posts, Kadiri highlighted the dangers posed by fake food items, medicines, cosmetics, and household goods, describing the issue as a direct threat to human life.

Kadiri cited a personal experience where garlic she had blended unexpectedly turned green, prompting her concerns about product quality and safety. She expressed fear regarding the safety of packaged drinks for children and noted that many people are suffering from illnesses because they are unknowingly consuming harmful substances.

She called upon the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to intensify its efforts to combat these products. Kadiri also urged citizens to speak up when they encounter suspicious goods, noting that many of these harmful items are produced locally by individuals prioritizing profit over public health.
