Ruth Moschner discusses life without children
German presenter and author Ruth Moschner has shared insights into her decision to live a life without children, describing herself as ‘kinderfrei’ (child-free) rather than ‘kinderlos’ (childless) to emphasize that she does not view her choice as a loss.
In an interview with GALA, the 50-year-old moderator highlighted the freedom and independence her lifestyle provides, noting the ability to control her own daily schedule and sleep patterns. She expressed a desire for society to move away from extreme judgment regarding personal life choices, arguing that women should not feel obligated to have children to contribute to society.
Moschner noted that while she lacks biological offspring, she remains connected to younger generations as a godmother and mentor. She also touched upon the societal pressure placed on women regarding biological roles and suggested that social responsibility should be shared more equally by men.
