Ruth Thomas represents Botswana at Miss World finale in Vietnam

Miss World Botswana Ruth Thomas represented her nation at the 73rd Miss World festival in Vietnam, wearing a bespoke gown designed to commemorate Botswana’s 60th year of independence. The gown featured 60 natural diamonds supplied by Lucara Botswana and crafted by KGK Diamond Botswana, with the design created by local designer Delayna Scott.

While Thomas did not advance to the Top 40 during the grand finale, she achieved several notable placements during the competition. She reached the Top 24 in the Sports Challenge and the Top 60 in the Top Model competition, eventually placing in the Top 6 in Africa for the Top Model category.
