Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia arrives in Aruba for AVP Congress 2026

Ruthmilda “Mimi” Larmonie-Cecilia, leader of the Partido Nashonal di Pueblo (PNP) from Curaçao, has arrived in Aruba to attend the AVP Congress 2026. The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, at the Aruba Marriott Resort Grand Ballroom.

The congress marks a significant leadership transition for the AVP party, as Wendrick Cicilia is set to be officially installed as the new party leader. Upon her arrival at Queen Beatrix International Airport, Larmonie-Cecilia was welcomed by Mike Eman, Wendrick Cicilia, and Clifford Heyliger.

During the welcome, Mike Eman highlighted the deep historical and constitutional ties between the AVP and the PNP. He noted that the relationship between the two parties, rooted in the work of founders Henny Eman and Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez, has been instrumental in the political development and autonomy of Aruba and the former Netherlands Antilles.
