Rwanda and Pakistan to host Investment Forum and sign trade agreement

The Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan has announced the upcoming Rwanda-Pakistan Investment Forum, scheduled to take place in Kigali from September 23–25, 2026. A Pakistani business delegation, led by Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan of the Pakistan Africa Economic Council, will travel to Rwanda to engage with government institutions, business leaders, and private-sector representatives.

A central objective of the forum is the signing of a Bilateral Trade Agreement between Rwanda and Pakistan, which aims to establish a stronger institutional framework for commerce. High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou noted that the forum seeks to expand cooperation in manufacturing, technology, and investment. She positioned Rwanda as a strategic gateway for Pakistani companies looking to expand into the broader African market through joint ventures and regional production.
