Rwanda delegation visits Brazil to expand trade and investment
A Rwandan delegation has arrived in Brazil to conduct a business mission aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, trade, and investment between the two nations. The delegation includes Ambassador Lawrence Manzi, seven government officials, and 26 business representatives.
In the state of Santa Catarina, the mission visited Sapiens Parque in Florianópolis to explore partnerships in technology, renewable energy, mining, and information technology. The group is also scheduled to visit Jaraguá do Sul, Blumenau, and Chapecó to seek suppliers and manufacturers in sectors such as agricultural mechanization, agro-processing, textiles, and construction.
In broader national engagements, the delegation met with the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) to discuss research partnerships, as well as representatives from ApexBrasil and Sebrae. The mission seeks to expand bilateral trade, which reached approximately US$ 2.1 million in the previous year, by focusing on agriculture, research, and industrial investments.
