Rwanda security forces donate school supplies in Cabo Delgado
Rwanda’s security forces have expanded their social outreach in Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province by donating educational and sports materials to the Palma Secondary School. The initiative, which included the distribution of textbooks for various secondary school subjects, football boots, and other sports equipment, aims to strengthen ties between the security forces and the local community.
Alex Ndayisenga, representing the Community Policing Unit of Rwanda’s security forces, stated that the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to foster positive relations with the people of Palma. He emphasized that this cooperation will continue in coordination with local authorities and the Mozambique Defence and Security Forces.
This action follows a history of community-focused activities by Rwandan forces in the region since 2021. Previous efforts include distributing school supplies to approximately one thousand students in Mocímboa da Praia and Palma in 2023, as well as rehabilitating classrooms and providing desks in Ancuabe in 2024.
