RWE lifts 2026‑2027 profit outlook after strong first‑half earnings

German energy group RWE announced on Tuesday that it is raising its full‑year earnings guidance for fiscal 2026 and 2027. The company reported preliminary H1 2026 results of €3.0 billion in adjusted EBITDA and about €1.27 billion in adjusted net income (EPS €1.77), exceeding market expectations. Based on the strong performance, RWE now expects 2026 adjusted EBITDA of €5.75‑6.35 billion and adjusted net income of €1.95‑2.45 billion (EPS €2.60‑3.30). For 2027 the outlook is adjusted EBITDA €6.7‑7.3 billion and adjusted net income €2.2‑2.7 billion (EPS €2.80‑3.50). RWE attributed the results to robust on‑shore and offshore wind, solar, energy trading, flexible generation and a larger stake in transmission operator Amprion, as well as positive one‑off items. The company reaffirmed a €1.32 per‑share dividend for 2026 and its plan to raise the payout by roughly 10 % annually through 2031. RWE’s shares rose about 4.5 % in after‑hours trading after the announcement, and the final half‑year numbers will be published on 13 August.
