RXO reports strong Q2 growth amid freight cycle recovery
RXO reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, highlighted by its highest sequential increase in truckload gross profit per load in four years. The company saw its truckload spot mix rise to 42% of brokerage volume, up from 33% in the previous quarter. Total revenue increased to $1.774 billion, up from $1.419 billion the prior year.
CEO Drew Wilkerson noted that the company is entering the early stages of a freight-cycle recovery and is well-positioned to navigate shifting regulatory landscapes. This includes increased scrutiny and liability pressures, such as the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that federal law does not block state court "negligent hiring" lawsuits against brokers.
RXO aims to differentiate itself through rigorous carrier vetting, financial stability, and proprietary technology. The company expects continued growth in brokerage volume and profitability into the third quarter.
