RXZ Members propose temporary East Coast Expressway closure

Organizers of the RXZ Members motorcycle gathering have proposed the temporary closure of the East Coast Expressway (LPT1 and LPT2) to provide a safer route for participants. The suggestion was raised during an engagement session with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) in Putrajaya.

To improve safety, organizers also suggested implementing a Travel Time Arrival (TTA) system, which would establish specific journey schedules for riders. While the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) initially suggested the possibility of road closures, organizers clarified they are seeking these measures as improvements for future editions of the program.

JPJ officials emphasized that the department is not attempting to restrict the event but is focused on making the gathering safer for all road users. Additionally, discussions regarding stricter vehicle registration processes and specification approvals are ongoing to ensure compliance and safety.
